So many of our thoughts are subconscious or we are not aware of them and in many many ways that is a good thing. We also tend, when we are challenged with anxiety, to put many thoughts into our subconscious without any awareness of what we are thinking this is adding fuel to our anxious negative thinking. If you find yourself resistant to what is and your anxiety ramping up try these 4 tips: 1) Let it go; really like holding a hot rock...let go! surrender on a tough day; stop fighting. There is no resolution in the fight so give yourself permission to stop fighting. 2) Float; doesn't require practice, and works better with less force: like an inner inactivity. Remember how to float in the water...you have to relax your muscles and let go...this is just the same! 3) Practice Acceptance: allow the situation to be, it is what it is, it is OK if you can't control the situation. You may not like it but you can accept that it is what is happening. 4) Use the rule of opposites: take the opposite action from what your anxiety is leading you to do. Quote:
